ET Tabber: 3-Edge Tabbing - Inline and Offline

Closing a folded piece with a label or tab is a run-of-the-mill application. Many print and mail companies still stick one, two or three (surely not?!) tabs on every piece by hand. However, professional mailing requires a different approach.

Inline Offline Graphics are pleased to be able to add to their range of Asmarc Tabletop tabbers, the ET! The ET tabber is capable of laying a tab on the head and foot of a folded piece in a single pass. When integrated with a KT tabber, then all 3 edges are tabbed.

The duo (ET/KT) can be installed inline behind a folder or offline with an Asmarc HDF feeder - designed to run open edge leading folded products at high speed. A one-meter out-feed - floor standing or table top - completes the system and provides a precision, high-throughput answer to all your tabbing jobs as easy as 1 - 2 - 3.

New Mailing Requirements
Automated tabbing surely becomes an issue, where mailing items and consumer pieces require the clean break across the ‘perf’ to be precise. In addition it is alluded to that the mailing authority (e.g. in Ireland) will be demanding all edges to be closed.  In that case automated tabbing will definitely become much more practical than hand tabbing. Even for short run.
